Anti-Money Laundering Compliance Consulting Services
Regulatory efforts to fight money laundering and terrorism are changing the way a financial institution complies with anti-money laundering (AML) and other Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) requirements.

Compliance Professional Resources offers extensive consulting services that help you maintain AML compliance.

OFAC Gap Assessment
This process is patterned after the BSA/AML Risk Assessment and utilizes the OFAC Risk Factor Matrix of the FFIEC Examination Manual to determine the institution's exposure to potential OFAC violations.

Customer Risk Modeling and Scoring
CPR will help to develop a customized customer risk assessment methodology. The process is documented and potentially built into an institution's AML system. It includes:
  • Assessment of AML risk and KYC policy/procedure for use in customer risk methodology
  • Developing algorithmic risk models and risk classification
  • Education on developing a customer risk assessment methodology
  • Configuring risk models in your automated solutions
AML Risk Assessment
The BSA/AML Risk is modeled on the FFIEC Examination Manual that requires institutions to consider the type of customers they serve, the products and services offered, and geographical factors related to both the institution and customer base. It includes:
  • Assessing the vulnerability of your AML program
  • Identification of key gaps that exist in your ability to prevent money laundering and/or terrorist financing
  • Creation of a risk profile for your institution to determine your firm's risk personality
  • Determination of what tools and processes need to be created
AML Program Governance
CPR can assist you with establishing best practice governance for AML programs: organizational structure, committee charter and membership, AML policies and procedures, internal controls, and workflow.

Each of these governance components is customized to match your risk exposure, current staff levels, and how AML compliance fits into your overall enterprise risk management framework. Our services can include:
  • Determination of how well your AML program is designed
  • Examination of management reporting and interrelationships
  • Assessment of staffing levels
  • Identification of conflicts of interest
  • Maximization of Board reporting
Trade Finance AML Assessment
Recent changes to the FFIEC AML manual have created greater expectations from the regulators related to AML Surveillance. As such, the need to assess and understand vulnerabilities is critical to any organization involved in trade finance. CPR provides extensive assessment and gap review.

The requirements for the TF have changed substantially and now require an entirely new look at existing compliance programs. CPR will offer new compliance strategy and consulting services for these new requirements.

AML Gap Assessment
This service is designed to identify any gaps and introduce best practices into your environment.

Annual Independent Review
The annual independent review is a full assessment, created to test compliance with BSA/AML regulations, OFAC regulations, and industry best practices. We can also conduct targeted reviews focused on specific segments of your AML program, such as KYC/ CIP and suspicious activity reporting. Examination could include:
  • Determining compliance with Section 352 and the FFIEC compliance manual
  • Annual audit of your AML program
  • CIP/CDD/EDD
  • Assessment of record keeping and reporting—CTRs/SARs/Travel Rule
  • Transaction testing
AML Staff Training
Training for internal staff is critical for AML. This training must be performed annually. CPR can provide this training on an as needed basis. We will customize the program to your needs and optimize the time employees are not working.

Training can include:
  • General training for all employees
  • Targeted training for board of directors and senior management
  • Task specific training in monitoring and investigative techniques
Forensic Regulatory Look Back
Money laundering regulations allow regulators the power to conduct look backs of all transaction activity when they identify an AML program weakness. We provide detailed assessment of the suspicious flow of funds, and recommendations to remediate the causes for previously unidentified suspicious transactions.
